The History of Women’s Swimwear: an interview with Esther Williams

Who better to tell the history of women’s swimwear than MGM Film star Esther Williams. Thanks to Huell Howser Productions, ISHOF is able to cybercast this interview, conducted by Huell Howser for his show California Gold.

Esther traces the time when women weren’t allowed to swim to the appearance of Annette Kellerman, whom Esther portrayed in the film “Million Dollar Mermaid” in 1952, and her film career as the world’s most famous “Bathing Beauty.”
