June 2008 Premieres Broward Attractions and Museums Month (BAMM)
Visit 21 Broward County, Boca Raton Attractions with One Membership
FT. LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. – This June, vacation planning for South Floridians will be hotter than ever - and yet lighter on the wallet - regardless of climbing gas prices, thanks to a joint effort by a consortium of attractions, museums, and cultural destinations located in Broward County and Boca Raton.
Broward Attractions and Museums Month (BAMM) offers members of one of 21 participating cultural institutions free general admission to all participating venues during the month of June: JOIN ONE, EXPERIENCE THEM ALL.
Current and new members of these museums and attractions will receive free entry with proof of membership. Special events may not be included. This exciting new concept encourages not only more visits to each organization but also encourages new and existing members to experience the diverse cultural treasures that Broward County and Boca Raton have to offer.
“South Florida is a prime destination with a unique array of activities and attractions to enjoy,” said Mary Birch-Hanson of the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum in Hollywood. “We are pleased to announce the first BAMM event in June 2008. Whether a person has been a longtime museum supporter or has just signed up, the program enables everyone to experience the attractions and cultural scene for the price of one membership.”
In support of the venture, tourism officials are joining the campaign to spread the words of JOIN ONE, EXPERIENCE THEM ALL. An official kick-off celebration will take place on Friday, May 23, at 10 a.m. at Nova Southeastern University’s Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology Center (3100 Ray Ferrero, Jr. Boulevard). Nicki Grossman, President and CEO of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau, will be in attendance. She will be joined by other VIPs to launch the announcement.
