International Swimming Hall of Fame
 

The International Swimming Hall of Fame is a not-for-profit educational organization located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The mission of the International Swimming Hall of Fame is to be the world-wide focal point of swimming and its many disciplines. Its purpose is to have every person in the world learn to swim and to:

  • Provide an international facility that will secure public recognition of the benefits offered by competitive and recreational swimming, diving, water polo and synchronized swimming.

  • Increase awareness of the health and fitness derived from swimming, aquatic exercise and other special programs including those for the disabled.

  • Foster an appreciation of the past, an awareness of the present and a vision of the future of aquatics.

  • Document and preserve the history of aquatics through its archives, exhibitions and library
    Immortalize the achievements and contributions of those who have distinguished themselves in the sport.

  • Stimulate the growing interest in swimming by encouraging the construction of public and private swimming pools that will meet the needs of the ever expanding base of swimmers.

  • Advance water safety, good health and fitness by encouraging education, training and guidance.
    Function as a premier facility and host for age group, national and international swimming events.

  • Sustain the commitment to excellence that continues to inspire young people to new heights of aquatic achievement.
